Qualia Audio Lab is a mastering studio and an audio restoration and preservation laboratory. A flat, aligned custom monitoring system and lab-grade standards for monitoring, signal processing and analysis, applied with a scientific but also human approach.

    Audio mastering

    Albums and singles for streaming, CD (DDP) and vinyl. Apple Digital Masters, ISRC, hi-res delivery.

    Vinyl premastering

    Dedicated vinyl masters and adaptation of digital masters for lacquer cutting.

    Tape transfer & digitization

    1/4" reel tape, cassette, DAT, MiniDisc, PCM-F1 and more, transferred on calibrated machines.

    Audio restoration

    Noise, clicks, hum, wow and flutter removed from tape, vinyl, acetates and digital recordings.

    Archives & preservation

    Assessment, digitization, metadata and quality control for institutions and private collections.

Custom Bowers & Wilkins 801 Matrix S2 monitor

Lab-grade monitoring, archival practice

Mastering is done on a custom Bowers & Wilkins 801 Matrix S2 system, with the whole chain clocked from an atomic clock reference with low phase noise. As an Apple Digital Masters provider we deliver masters for Apple Music; as IASA members we follow the archival community's guidelines for transfer, metadata and quality control.
